This Heatless Carpet Seaming Tool with patented radio-wave technology evenly spreads a signal through the surface of the carpet right down to the specially engineered seam tape — the tool never touches the adhesive! It uses no heat, so no distortion of carpet fibers, no delamination of backing, no smoke, no odor, and no VOC’s! Most carpet installers are using seam irons that were designed 50 years ago that are smoky, smelly, and toxic. There is even a surgeon general warning on the old style seam tape! Most Santa Cruz County installers use the old style.
